interview with Javarnanda, guitarist of PAJARRITOS

Hello to all. New appointment to the section "The Rock musician of the month." The rock musician of the month of May is Javarnanda, guitarist of Pajarritos. It 'been ,to say the least, a space interview . Good reading.

- At what age did you start playing the guitar and why?
I think about 15 ... I wanted to be Dimebag Darrell!

-You are self-taught or you followed some lessons?
I have watched many movies about Godzilla.

-In addition to playing guitar you play another instrument?
I love dress up like Bootsy (Collins) and playing for hours the Bass.
The ukulele, after having discovered with great joy the fantastic Jake Shimabukuro!
Keyboards, sitar, flute and nintendo.

- With your band participate actively in the implementation of music and arrangements?
No one participates in these things in the band.

-Which of your songs are you very close and why?
Without doubt Worchester Sauce, anthem of the group! And then every time played is always different after two verses begin to improvise like crazy! ON THE ONE!
Even "Elettrofregna", a piece that i recorded a year ago and put on my solo album "Funk Invasion", one day I suggested it to my Pajarritos' colleagues and immediately was invigorate and with the addition of a fantastic lyrics became one of my favorite pieces to play Live!

- What's your advise for those who would like to make music?
going to see the municipal aquarium of Milano, Read The Tao of Tai-chi Chuan of Jou Tsung Hwa and listen much Bernie Worrell.

- You can live with music in Italy?
If you eat many spaghetti, yes.

-What has changed in Italian music scene from 90 years to today?
This is the rhythm of the night
The night, oh yeah.

- And in general by years 60'-70 to today?
In those days people dance the Granpa Funky!

- What do you think about the current italian music scene?
Lacking courage, too much seriously and hostility between the bands ... the only ones that count are always "Elio e le storie tese" that are on the stages around from more than 20 years, fresh and increasingly good!

- What relationship have your family with your profession/passion?
My father emigrated to the Philippines and my mother had broken the meniscus.

-Rites before getting on stage?
Hypochondria

- What are the things that avoids do before getting on stage?
Hypochondria

- What is the most beautiful experience of your career?
Being invited with the group Pajarritos to play for marriage of my martial arts Masters.

- The most fun?
Ehehe .. we had to play in a "cool" pub in Milan with Pajarritos, we were placed in a small room with horrible acoustics, it was very soon and on the place were only me, Dewa (drummer) and Supersax Johnny (idol of the crowds), ready to assemble and waiting all the others members who were engaged at the time.
While we were whipping with cables, the boss of the place came to tell us that we should play much before the "preset hour" because some dancers had to come after our show... mmm sure we say!
Call fast to all members of the group to give the sad news .. obviously committed the first .. committed even after! No one available to come before!
What to do?
A-Remove all steal money from the cash bar and burn the pub
B-Acting like another group and play however
Obviously, the choice fell on B (with great bitterness of pyromaniac Dewa).
So, Let's go! Started to improvise! Me alternating guitar and bass, Dewa on drums and Johnny on supersax!
After one quarter d 'hours, SURPRISE! came Bru (singer) and taking possession of the bass began to play a series of riffs, one most beautiful then another, with our great surprise! I think it is the third time that I see Bru play an instrument!
Fortunately I had the camera with me .. then from the movie we extracted the audio and we did a disco-bootleg under "DESTOROYAH" - "Operation Deep Blue"
you can download for free here:
DOWNLOAD FREE DESTOROYAH ALBUM!
Really fun, and served to make us hate enough to be not called from the pub, but with our great fun and satisfaction! ;)

- And that to be forgotten?
Each concert done at a competition. Contests in which pay to participate, you must force your friends to pay a sum to come and see you. And finally lose the same because you discover that the group winner is related to the organizer cousin.
For example "Emergenza Rock". Beware young bands!
or even those fraud initiatives like villages for musicians. The thing that I am more disconcerting is the fact that there are famous musicians who put their names in these initiatives!

- Is well-known that the musicians are all good forks and good drinkers. What relationship you have with the drink and eat?
I eat everything with no problems! But i almost never drink alcohol .. I love to drink tons of water! especially after a beautiful concert!

- What are the three guitarists that have most influenced you and why?
Buckethead, Eddie Hazel and mr. Melvin "Wah-Wah Watson" Ragin
Buckethead taught me to always bring with me my passions, whatever you do and let my imagination win on everything.
Eddie hazel showed me how to travel into the groove of the cosmic soul!
and Wah Wah Watson! Twak twak .. frrrr .. twikle twikle .. dwakh waghk!

- What are the three guitarists from which you looked dall'imparare something and why.
In fact, you can always learn something from the "worst".
It must only be careful at the devil.

-Your currently gear?
Live: a green guitar with a fun button , a green pedal, orange pedal(the worship), a white pedal and a amplifier that lends me every time Eliana's father (our singer).
In studio: A black guitar, a platform with many little lights and a bass bought at the Pawnshop.
Im thinking about find a Banjo!

- Valves or transistor?
Turbine!

- What characteristics should have the guitarist of a band?
It should be like Joe Perry!

- There is something in the artistic field you've wanted to do, but which are not yet able to achieve?
A Theme Park.

- What are your future projects?
In short we should go in the studio with Pajarritos for a mini EP, me and Dewa the drummer are working on a new "KOH" album , my next solo album with the temporary title of "Buddhist Palm of Funk!" is almost completed and it will see the light during the winter months, we are start to filming for the future "Pajarritos movie" but the script is still being drafted and then in September starts the official records of the new Pajarritos Album!
At the moment i have just published my first DVD "Javarnanda - Hitchiker vol.1," more than two hours of live-show, homevideo, rarity and images from hypnoarchivi! soon for sale on cdbaby.com or can be found already on sale to LastScream Records of Vigevano!

- What are you thinking about this interview?
